I'm sorry but if you're releasing version 1.0.0 beta that means you haven't really made a stable release and they're wanting to merge back into the nodejs branch.
That's like you coming up to a road and seeing a mud trail. You think "oh that's interesting, I wonder where it leads". Then you notice that its went around a sapling and joined back up with the road a couple of meters along.
Yeah ok that sapling is made out a new ECMAScript wood and has an asyncwrap to help it mature. The fruit on it isn't bad either but really all this could have been added if they had been patient with Joyent.
